What is a swimmer to do…you can go to Rome, do really well in a post-07 suit and get an asterisk next to your name, you can go to Rome and make a statement by wearing a pre-07 suit and not do so well but keep your pride intact or you can select the third alternative which is to make an even bolder statement at Rome…say wearing a post-07 suit with your ankles shackled together…regardless of which way, in the end the swimmers who walk the walk and show how good they can be without being aided are the swimmers that should get the notice and the commendation. The ones who feel compelled to follow the herd out of the gates and wear the KY-equivalent of a suit simply because if they don’t how can they set a world record, well…good luck and have fun. That’s what its all about anyway right?
